These cousins are seen on ebay every couple of months. They are often mistaken for prototypes or differant editions of Care Bear Cousins, but they are nothing of the sort. In the late 1980's, when Kenner was in the process of selling their Care Bear making machinery, they sold the molds to make these cousins to another company. This company had to remove the hearts from the bum and the feet in order to comply with trademark law. They made and distributed these glowing cousins in nickle and dime stores in the UK only (as far as I am aware). As to their real names, I am unsure. But they are seen somewhat often and go for around $6-$15 each or less. To the best knowledge there were only the lion and the rabbit made. I have both; I like to call them Bizzaro Braveheart & Swift Heart (a Superman reference). The same paint pattern as Brave Heart's was used for the eyes, suggesting they sold the same tampographing parts as well. The limbs do not move, and they are made of a thin PVC/plastic compound.
